A live telethon by former president Pervez Musharraf collected Rs 250 million to Rs 300 million for Pakistan flood relief within three to four hours on its fist day Sunday Sep 12.

The telethon was conducted in association with Venus TV and Dunya News from UK and Pakistan simultaneously.

Musharraf said he has formed Pervez Musharraf Foundation (PMF) simultaneously in UK, USA and Pakistan in order to collect and provide flood relief for the Pakistan flood affected.

Attending the live telethon were Farooq Hasan, Atiqa Odho, Khurshid Mehmud Kasuri, Dr. Salman Shah – to name a few.

Next telethon he said he expects to do on Larry King Live Show in USA in which Dr Henry Kissinger and Angelina Jolie will also attend he expects.

Musharraf has announced formation of political party: All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) and announced return to politics in Pakistan soon.

However, top political parties of Pakistan have scoffed at former military ruler’s claim of returning to politics, saying there was no room for him in the country’s political arena.

The 67-year-old former president has said he would be contesting in the next general elections for a seat in the parliament.
