At least 16 people have been shot dead in firing-related incidents in Karachi during last two days meanwhile, enraged mod have set on ablaze five vehicles in different localities across metropolis, Geo News reported. Tensed situation is being witnessed and on rise in some parts of city. Rangers said funeral prayer attendees opened fire for forcefully closure of shops, markets, schools, colleges, shopping centers and etc. who also targeted rangers’ personnel. The violent incidents erupted yesterday when some unidentified miscreants opened fire in city area of Riavia, killing Tanvir Abbas, 40. The deceased is said to be hailing from a political party. The incident unleashed a spate of firing incidents in various areas. The firing by unidentified saboteurs killed Dilawar, 22 and Farhan Ghayas of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in Korangi and FB Area. A man was shot down in Malir. Some armed men opened fire at a bakery in Muslim Town area of North Karachi, killing Noman, Naveed and Ansar of an outlawed religious outfit and injuring two others. In firing incidents, at least two people were injured near Ancholi, one in Metroville and another man was wounded in front of University of Karachi. A worker of a political party got hurt at Abul Hasan Isfahani Road. A body of a man, who was shot to death, was found from Korangi’s Ibrahim Hyderi area. A man was killed on Ayub Goth Bridge of New Karachi. Another man, a shop owner was gunned down in North Nazimabad.
