Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Sunday that the Supreme Court of Pakistan was not entitled to amend the Constitution. The Prime Minister, while talking to senior journalists in the PM House here today, said the apex court could not amend the Constitution, adding that “extra-constitutional steps will not be tolerated”. Extra-constitutional steps will not be tolerated, Gilani added, and affirmed that the Parliament would safeguard the Constitution and democracy.
