Nato helicopters intruded five kilometers into Pakistan territory along Pak-Afghan border and killed three security personnel as well as injuring three others.

The latest border intrusion took place in Upper Kurram Agency where a security check post in Mandato Kandaho area was targeted.

Nato helicopters have violated the Pakistani airspace for the third time in one week. Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Kayani is said to take up these border violations with Nato in the next tripartite meeting in Afghanistan, it has emerged.

Pakistan has already raised the issue with US in recent high level talks at Pentagon. Pentagon said “miscommunications” led to these incursions, published reports said.

Earlier this week, Pakistan conveyed to Nato forces that it can no longer guarantee the security of Nato supplies after they launched air strikes in the country’s tribal belt, The Express Tribune has reported.

The overnight Nato air strikes in North Waziristan had drawn angry reactions from Pakistan, which has threatened to consider ‘response options’ if immediate steps are not taken to stop such raids
