The Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) does not accept the Kerry-Lugar bill despite its having been signed and approved, opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Sunday.

Nisar said the PML-N has a categorical stance against the Kerry-Lugar Bill as the bill goes against Pakistan's national interests.

While addressing the media in Karachi, Nisar said his party will use all political means to pressurise the government into rejecting all the conditions that undermine Pakistan’s sovereignty.

Talking about the ongoing military operation in South Waziristan, he said the PML-N has agreed to the adoption of all means necessary for the promotion of Pakistan’s national interests and therefore supports the military operation in Waziristan.

The opposition leader said all political parties stand united in the resolve to fight extremism in the country.
