Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will start discussions from Wednesday in Dubai on Pakistan's economic performance under the cobbling together of fourth and fifth review under $6.64 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF).

According to sources in the Ministry of Finance, during the meeting issues pertaining to the previous economic review will be discussed. IMF did not release the tranche due to inconclusiveness of fourth review as the economic team failed to fulfill the agreed condition.

IMF asked for electric tariff hike which wasn't possible under those circumstances.
