A 6.3 magnitude earthquake rocked the city of Christchurch in New Zealand. 65 people have been confirmed dead and many are still missing. According to sources, the death toll is expected to rise.

New Zealand Prime Minister, John Key said that the 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck at lunchtime when people were in their offices and children in their schools.

He added that a lot of buildings have been damaged and it is yet unknown how many people have been affected by this deadly disaster. The death toll is currently up to 65 but the figure is expected to rise as many people are still missing.
