Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that some of the comments made by former captain Shahid Afridi were against the code of conduct, Geo News reported.

While talking to Geo News, Butt said that no one has stopped Afridi from playing cricket and he was selected for the series against Ireland but he refused saying that his father is not well. But his decision to retire from international cricket is sudden and he does not want to comment on it, added Chairman PCB.

Butt said that Afridi has played marvelous cricket and he acknowledges his contribution, but the decision to retire from international cricket is personal.

He also said that PCB has not imposed any restriction on former captain and the team is ready to welcome him back in the international cricket.
