Much enjoyed tournament, Hong Kong Sixes 2011, has been won by Pakistan where they defeated England in the final by 35 runs. The entire tournament, Umar Akmal was the key for Pakistan’s batting – however, in the final, Sohail Tanvir’s masterclass inning and Abdul Razzaq’s captain’s knock saved the day, after Umar Akmal and his partner Sharjeel Khan had failed to perform.

It was an interesting match – both teams were very competitive. Pakistan’s score in the final was 154, and England fell 35 runs short, scoring 119. Abdul Razzaq top scored with 64 not out and Sohail Tanvir scored 58. Umar Akmal, performed well with the ball instead of the bat – picking up 3 crucial wickets to put England on the back-foot for the entire match.
