KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) women's public rally named 'Baiktiar Aurat - Mazboot Pakistan' (Strong Pakistan - Empowered Women) has begun, Geo News reported.

A large number of women have arrived at the venue to attend the rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah near the Quaid-e-Azam's mausoleum. MQM's leadership is present on the stage.

Geo News correspondent Uneeba Waqar reported that women from all coloures and shades are there to hear their leader.

Earlier MQM leaders paid homage to the Father of the Nation.

MQM chief Altaf Hussain will address the public meeting, via phone from London.

"The women's public meeting will be the biggest public meeting in history," said MQM Rabita Committee member Wasay Jalil at the Media Centre established at the venue of the rally.
