PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) has demanded eight slots including deputy chairman in Senate, Geo News reported.

ANP sources told Geo News that in the recent Senate elections it has secured seven seats. First time in the history of the country, ANP has twelve members in the upper house, the sources added.

Following victory in the elections, ANP has demanded deputy chairman, chief Whip and chairmanship of six senate committees. The sources said if the deputy chairman slot goes to Balochistan, ANP member has been selected from the province, therefore, it should be given to it.
