Governor Punjab Salman Tasir defended the Pakistan Peoples Party on Sunday and said no one would resign despite allegation, adding the PPP would continue running government the same way.

“Allegations were leveled against Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif as well but no one tendered their resignations, therefore PPP ministers will not do so,” the Governor argued while talking to newsmen here after prize distribution ceremony of Governors Cup Gold Tournament.

“There are many cases against me; does it mean I am big terrorist?” he asked.

Tasir affirmed that neither the NRO-hit minister of PPP would quit their offices nor accept any pressure. Despite allegations, he said, the PPP government would continue to run the system the same way.

He called for reopening of the Mehran Bank scandal and similar scams.
