QUETTA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan on Saturday said it was his party's vision to transform Pakistan into a welfare state and that he would take rest only after turning it into a reality, Geo News reported.

Talking to media persons here, Imran Khan said his public meeting held in Quetta on Friday helped loosen the grip of fear over the people and thanked the citizens of Balochistan for making his rally a success.

To a question, he alleged that Balochistan had been deprived of development by deliberately turning it into a colony and also regretted that all the MPAs of the province become ministers.

He questioned as to why Rs110 billion that were received by Balochistan under the NFC Award were not spent on the development of the province.

"Balchistan will have to be given a special status," he asserted.

Imran Khan told the media men that Syed Tayyab Gilani, the nephew of Khan of Kallat, had also come into the fold of Tehreek-e-Insaf and that he welcomes him aboard.

He regretted that the poor segment of the society was facing real hardship and yet nobody was paid any attention to it.
