Federal Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar Sunday banned operation of all private flights following the back to back air tarffic incidents in the country.

The minister said that all the flights would get permission after clearing all fitness tests of (CAA) Civil Aviation Authority. He added that government was also considering cancellation of Bhoja Airline's license.

The defence minister directed Director General CAA Nadeem Yusufzai that inspect and check out maintenance and performance of all planes of private airlines.

Sources said that Boing 737 of private airlines were also likely to be grounded for inspection.

After plane crash of Bhoja Airline, Shaheen Airline operating flights with more than eight Boing 737 planes.

Bhoja Airline has two Boing 737s whereas Pakistan International Airline has six Boing 737s in operational condition. Out of which two Boing 737 planes have been grounded.

Grounding Boing 737 planes may disturb air operation. The decision is being taken owing to Bhoja Airline plane crash.
