A father heartlessly killed his three daughters, all under 6-years-old, as part of a religious sacrifice and later killed himself.

According to Sindh police and eyewitnesses, religious rituals were regularly performed at the Kali Mata Temple established on the first floor of a house owned by Tekamdas Meghwar in Bhemomal, a town in Pakistan’s southern province of Sindh.

It was learnt that the father slaughtered his three daughters Parwati, 6, Rena, 4 and Aarti, 1, with a sharp knife and then slit his own throat.
The incident spread panic in the town of Mirwah Gorchani as hundreds of people gathered at the spot.

A heavy contingent of police headed by station house officer (SHO) Taluka Police Rasool Bux Thaheem reached the spot and shifted the bodies of the deceased girls and their father to a Rural Health Centre for autopsy.

Former provincial minister Hari Ram Kishori Lal and District Police Officer (DPO) Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Sheikh were also present at the crime scene.

No case has been registered until now.
