Pakistan’s star all-rounder and Twenty20 captain Shahid Afridi has been declared the cricketer of the decade as he bagged more than 50 percent of the votes against the other three finalists – Ricky Ponting, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Shane Warne- in a foreign sports channel awards.

While Afridi got 50.51 percent votes, Australia’s Ponting ended at the second position with 37.16 percent with Dhoni (11.68 percent) and Shane Warne (0.65 percent) falling behind.
