KARACHI: A senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party in Sindh, Nabil Gabol, on Sunday announced his shocking decision to join Muttahida Qaumi Movement, SAMAA reported.

Sources said that disgruntled Gabol will formally announce his decision during a press conference today.

They said partyís various decisions, including ordering operation in Karachiís Lyari area which is Gabolís constituency, forced him to part his ways with PPP.

Gabol was elected as a Member of National Assembly (MNA) from Lyari in 2008 elections on PPP ticket.

He has served as a Minister of Ports and Shipping in 2011. However, he later resigned from his office, citing his powerlessness in serving the people of Lyari.
