ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party has reportedly finalized four names for a Parliamentary Committee which will be mandated to nominate caretaker Prime Minister as the National Assembly has completed its five-year constitutional term, SAMAA reported.

Deadlock so far prevails in talks between Opposition and the government over caretaker PM’s slot since PPP has voiced concern on names of Justice (retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid and Rasool Bux Palijo who were nominated by PML-N.

Now constitutionally, the Parliamentary Committee, comprising four members from the government and Opposition each, will resolve the issue, or otherwise the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will itself announce a name.

The four names for the for Parliamentary Committee, including Federal Ministers‚ Farooq H Naek‚ Khurshid Shah‚ Ghulam Ahmed Bilour and PML-Q chief Ch. Shujaat Hussain, has been sent to the Speaker of National Assembly. -- SAMAA
