National Assembly Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza Tuesday said the next fiscal budget would be tabled in the Parliament in June as per the previous practices. She said this while talking to journalists here at the Parliament House. She hoped that the Constitutional Reforms Bill would be passed during the current session of the parliament. Fehmida said it was the combined contribution of all the political parties who kept in view the national interest and it was their big success. She said media was free in the country and the government would facilitate the media at the Parliament House because it was a linchpin between the public and the government. To a question, she said,” democracy is now moving in the right direction in the country and the 18th amendment will strengthen it”. The Speaker said politicians’ unity in the parliament could stop the dictatorship’s way forever, and adding that she congratulated the nation for the two year’s completion of the government. Fehmida Mirza said the parliament was supreme and that a powerful Prime Minister was the need of a democratic government.
