RAWALPINDI: Unruly lawyers on Tuesday clashed with supporters of the former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf when he appeared before an anti-terrorism court for the Benazir Bhutto murder case.

Anti-Musharraf lawyers came prepared for the hearing holding wooden sticks and raised slogans against the former military ruler before attacking his supporters.

Two people were injured during pitched battles between the rival groups. Chaotic scenes were witnessed outside the court premises as police failed to control the rowdy behavior of lawyers. Anti-Musharraf lawyers also used abusive language against female supporters of the All Pakistan Muslim League. – SAMAA
