ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has readied a summary to slash the prices of petroleum products from May 1st; according to which, petrol will come down by Rs.6.50 per liter, SAMAA reported Tuesday.

The OGRA yesterday sent this summary to the Petroleum Ministry seeking decrease in the prices of petroleum products. After approval, the petroleum ministry will forward the summary to the finance ministry.

The summary recommends the government to whittle down the petrol by Rs.6.50 and high speed diesel by Rs.6.40 per liter.

Also, the light diesel is expected to fall by Rs.4.85 and kerosene oil by Rs.5.10 per liter, if the summary is approved by the ministry. –SAMAA
