An accountability court on Wednesday issued the summons of Begum Nusrat Bhutto for May 15 in a reference against her, ARY NEWS reported. A prosecutor of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed the medical certificate of Begum Bhutto, ailing widow of Pakistan Peoples Party’s late founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, with the Accountability Court No III (AC-III) hearing the Cotecna reference in which she is co-accused. The prosecutor had asked the court to exempt Begum Bhutto from appearing in person citing her deteriorating health. However, judge Najmul Hassan Bukhari had observed that the certificate should have been presented in court by the accused or one of her relatives. While hearing the case today, the judge summoned Ms. Bhutto in person before the court on May 15, as the prosecutors failed to comply with the court's orders, the channel added.
