Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry Friday said that the good governance will be achieved when the authorities will streamline their matters. In his remarks during the suo moto proceedings of the irregularities in liquified natural gas import contract the Chief Justice said that the Ministry of Petroleum could not reply the question that how a company could be awarded contract, which had didnt submitted its expression of intent. The chief justice made these remarks while heading a three-member bench hearing the LNG scam. S.M. Zafar, counsel of the petroleum ministry said the companies involved in the agreement are disturbed over disclosure of the secret papers. The Chief Justice said that keeping the house in order is the responsibility of the officials. The court later adjourned the case till Monday.
