Punjab Government plans to hold a major energy conference in Lahore soon, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said here.

Talking to media men at Lahore airport after his arrival from London, Shahbaz Sharif said the talks held with British and American companies to overcome crippling electricity shortage.

He said the government has been acquainted with the crippling impact of unannounced power load shedding and evening market shutdowns over the trade and industry. The federation has to take the matter seriously to seek permanent solution of the crisis, he further said.

He said his provincial government will hold an energy conference in Lahore this month in which the experts and stake holders will be invited.
