Being a muslim myself I donot understand this attitute of Pakistani muslims. For a filthy facebook page as Mubasshar said 'stupid things' people are ready to kill but not a single word when churches, temples and people of other religion are destroyed in Pakistan. Not a single word when schools are destroyed, not a single word for people being butchered in name of islam everyday inside Pakistan. Is this the teaching of islam? Is this the teaching of Quran? Another surprising thing to note is all this antifacebook activity is from Pakistan, as if it is the only muslim country in the world.

And why leave only facebook, leave the internet, leave the computers, leave the cars, leave the ships and leave everything that is associated with the west. Leave, leave and return to stone age maybe this will solve your problems.

  3. Re: Are u willing to deactivate your Face book account

so you mean we should not protest if they are hurting our feelings. we should sit silent. we are not against west but we are against those elements who are trying to create gap between communities by these tactics. freedom of speech is there but not on the cost of hurting others feelings.

and the protest is not only Pakistan its all around in Muslim word. what dos you think that its the teaching of Quran that keep silent when any body doing these type of stupid things. why Muslim dont have any right to protest. or we should keep our self silent due the this fear that others will label us as terrorist.

What I meant was clearly mentioned but you are free to think whatever you want.

A damn cartoon hurt your feelings so very much that in protest you burn other countires flags, threaten their lives to an extend that they shut their embassies. Is this what you call protest? Minorities are killed and their worship places are burned on regular basis inside Pakistan. Now killing any human is far far worse crime than drawings, where are your feelings? What islam do you follow. And what if other countries protest against Pakistanies the Paksitani way?

Well facebook, wiki, fliker, utube are banned only in Pakistan, why IMPOSE ban and not let people decide for themselves, wasnt the boycott page enough? And by the way no other country has reacted the way Pakistan did.

  5. Re: Are u willing to deactivate your Face book account

so its mean if somebody is doing wrong we should not let them feel that your act is hurting others. other things what you are mentioning is in my point linked with politics. who told you that people are not protesting if minorities rights are violated. what do you thing when hundreds of muslims where burned in india, which other country do the protest other than pakistan. so we should keep our self quite at let the world do what ever they want to do with muslims. daily 10 to 15 people are killed in wazirstan with drone attack what do you think all are Dashat gard. muslim blood and feelings are that much cheap. you can not blame all the muslim community do to some negative elements.

This thread is not about western policies, neither the voilent protests in Pakistan was about western policies it was simply about facebook. Flip floping subjects will lead nowhere. Remember our country came to being with the power of a PEN not swords!

  9. Re: Are u willing to deactivate your Face book account

with the power of PEN but on the name of ISLAM ..... we should not forget that other wise there is no problem to live together with hindus.

Many like you argue that Pakistan was created in the name of Islam. But do you know that Jinnah made Hindu, a chairman of the first national assembly and later made him the law minister to help draft an ‘Islamic’ constitution. Jinnah fought for minorities of India and all his words and action are evidence of that. Keynotes of Jinnah address to the Pakistani assembly clearly unfolds his vision of Pakistan and its ideology.
