Chairman of National Accountability Bureau Naveed Ahsan refused to resign and said no to handing over the records of Swiss cases to the government Monday.

Chairman NAB had given hints of his retirement earlier, but now he will complete his term and remain in office till July 6, 2011.

According to sources, the government intends to get hold of pending Swiss cases' records by removing him from his post. Without his permission, no one can get hold of them.

It’s worth mentioning here that Naveed Ahsan refused to provide these records to the Ministry of Law without court orders and the delay to initiate the Swiss cases again is also due to the non-availability of these records in the government’s hand.
