At least 20 passengers have been reported dead, of whom nine were Turkish nationals, when Israeli forces stormed Freedom Flotilla (a boat carrying pro-Palestinian activists bound for Gaza) on Monday. Executive Director Aaj News Talat Hussain along with his team members is on board, whose where about could not be known, Aaj News reported.

The ships, carrying more than 700 passengers, were on the last leg of an aid mission to deliver some 10,000 tonnes of supplies to Gaza, which has been under a crippling Israeli blockade since 2007.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik said no Pakistani is among the persons who died in today’s deadly Israeli raid on Ghaza aid convoy.

“TV anchor Talat Hussain and other Pakistani nationals are ‘safe’,” he told a private news channel Monday.
