Change your mouse cursor scheme for business or pleasure (Windows)

You can change the look of your mouse cursor to jazz up your computer screen or to help you find it if you suffer from desktop clutter or tired eyes.

To change your mouse cursor scheme:

1. Open the Control Panel and double-click on the Mouse icon in Classic View. In Category View, click on Appearance And Themes, and then click on Mouse Pointers in the See Also pane on the right side of the window.
2. Select the Pointers tab in the Mouse Properties dialog box. (The tabs in this dialog box differ depending on the type of mouse installed.)
3. Select an option from the Scheme dropdown list — the cursors in the Customize list box reflect your choice.
4. To change an individual cursor’s image, select it in the Customize list box and click Browse. Locate your desired cursor image, select it, and click Open. To reset the image to the default, click the Use Default button.
5. Click OK to apply your new cursor scheme and close the dialog box.
