Federal Cabinet has approved the Budget document for 2010-11 in its special meeting held here Saturday, ARY NEWS reported. Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani chaired the meeting. Minister for Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh briefed the Cabinet on revenue collection targets and the major allocations proposed in the budget document. The total volume of the proposed budget was said to be Rs 2.64 trillion, while Rs 663 billion were reportedly allocated for the development expenditures in the next fiscal. The Cabinet expressed its satisfaction on the proposed budget and government’s overall economic policy and approved it with consensus, the channel added. Dr Shaikh will shortly put the budget document before the National Assembly presently in session in Parliament House, the channel added.
