Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah presented a 425 billion rupees budget for Sindh in the provincial assembly. Salary of the Sindh Government employees has been increased by 50 percent.
CM Sindh chaired a session of the cabinet today, during which the suggestions of Sindh Budget for the new fiscal year 2010/2011 were finalized. According to sources, the budget deficit would be around 25 billion. Key points of the budget speech were as follows , 50 thousands acre land will be distributed among landless farmers, five thousands women will be provided free seeds and urea, Benazir Safe Health cards will also be distributed in Thatha, Badin and Larkana, 200 villages will be regularize in new fiscal year, 25 lacs people will be granted ownership of the houses.


Post budget presentation MQM leader Syed Sardar Ahmad was talking to the media where he said, that the figures presented by the federal government during the budget contained discrepancies which were to be rectified. He alleged that all the budgets were prepared by the bureaucrats and the politicians act only as rubber stamps to approve their allocations. He added that the services sector should not been taxed and the provincial government has the right over it.
