Opposition Leader Chuadhry Nisar Ali Khan on Monday hit hard against the government and said that it was the first National Assembly where there was more debate on the Punjab budget instead of the federal budget. While sharing his views in National Assembly session, Nisar said that the budget of Punjab was presented by the PPP minister. If something wrong happened in Punjab government the PPP should be held responsible, Nisar said. He clarified that they were not against the 50 per cent increase in the wages of government employees and said that the federal government should have consulted the provinces before initiating the step. While expressing his concerns over the budget, Khurram Dastagir sighted lack of anti-corruption laws the main reason behind the increase of corruption in the country and said the Pakistan Steel Mills was robbed of billions of rupees but no action was taken. — DawnNews
