At least three persons- two women and a foreign national man- were killed and eight others were wounded in a bomb blast at the World Food Programme office in Islamabad on Monday.
United Nations National Information Officer Ishrat Rizvi said three persons were killed and eight others were injured in the attack at WFP premises. Two Pakistani women identified as Farzana Malik and Gul Mukhtar were among the three dead. A foreign national named Gorden also said to be killed in the bomb attack.
DIG Islamabad Binyamin said two legs and a head found from the spot, which indicates it might be a suicide attack. Around eight kilogramme explosives might be used in the attack, he said.
Three injured has been identified as Munir, Tahir and Wahab. SSP Islamabad Police Naveed Alam has said that three persons including a foreigner and two Pakistani were killed in the bomb attack, while others were injured in the incident. The hospital sources said that the injured were in serious condition. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani have condemned the bomb attack in Islamabad. Minister of Interior Rehman Malik has condemned attack and called report from the DIG Islamabad.
