    How to Configure Family Safety Option to Monitor Child Activities in Windows 8 Pro?



    Microsoft introduces a new feature “Family Safety” in windows 8 to monitor child activities and then restrict as necessary. Using this feature you can get child’s activity report on daily as well as weekly basis. There are four different types of filtering are available in windows 8, for example; Web Filtering, Time Limits Windows Store and game restrictions and App restrictions.





    Web Filtering:
    Web Filtering option use to block and allow the website list.
    Time Limits:
    Time Limit option is use to restrict the user on time basis, for example; how much time they will use the computer in a day.
    Windows Store and game restrictions:
    Windows Store and game restrictions feature restrict the user to play the game and windows store Apps.a configure these options first create a new user and then select the user to manage these options.
    Configuring Web Filtering:
    To configure the web Filtering first go to the Control Panel>User Settings>Web Filtering>Web Restriction and then click on allow or block websites. Now here you can enter the name of website which you want to allow or block




    Configuring Time Limits:
    To configure the web Filtering first go to the Control Panel>User Settings>Time Limits>Time Allowance, here you can select the week days and hours to manage how long child use the PC.
