Lahore Civil and Additional Sessions Judges announced a 15 day strike after lawyers forced a sessions judge out of the court today.
The lawyers also took out a rally from Aiwan-e-Adl to the Sessions Courts to protest against what they called misbehavior of Sessions Judge Zawar Ahmed Sheikh with lawyers. Police were called in to maintain order at the Sessions Court.

Lower courts in Lahore were closed following the protest. Tension between the Lahore Bar Association and the sessions judge intensified on Friday, after the Bar passed a resolution demanding the transfer of Zawar Ahmed Sheikh. The Lahore lawyers have demanded of the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court to replace the session judge. Meanwhile talking to Dunya News, legal expert Khalid Ranjha expressed annoyance over the issue, saying that the lawyers should have followed the code of conduct. He said that the lawyers who dared to violate it should be penalized. He called upon the lawyers to register their complaints in a civilized way. He urged the Bar and Bench to resolve their disputes amicably.
