The Pakistan government has launched an inquiry into the typing overcharging scam at the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai, unearthed by Gulf News last week. Senior consulate officials immediately held a meeting to look into the issue after a report published in Gulf News exposed the money-making racket at the typing centre, opened inside the premises of the Pakistan Consulate. Consulate officials immediately ordered the typing centre contractor to reduce rates by more than 75 percent and the decision was implemented from Tuesday, October 5. “The Pakistan government has also started [an] inquiry into the matter,” a consulate spokesperson said.
